A whiter shade of pale, Procol Harum (video y letra)

A whiter shade of pale, la famosa canción de Procol Harum Esta canción, [A Whiter Shade of Pale], fue la que lanzó a la fama a la banda inglesa Procol Harum. Y creo que es la única canción por la cual se conoce al grupo a nivel internacional.

El tema fue lanzado en 1967 y permaneció seis semanas en el puesto número 1 entre los singles de mayor venta.

as the miller told his tale
that her face, at first just ghostly,
turned a whiter shade of pale

and would not let her be

they might have just as well’ve been closed

and forced her to agree
saying, ‘You must be the mermaid
who took Neptune for a ride.’
But she smiled at me so sadly
that my anger straightway died
