Simon & Garfunkel es un dúo estadounidense formado en 1955 cuando sus integrantes eran compañeros de colegio. En sus comienzos actuaron bajo el nombre de “Tom & Jerry”. En 1965, ya como “Simon & Garfunkel”, conocieron la fama gracias al éxito de “The Sounds Of Silence”

El sencillo de “Bridge Over Troubled Water” es de 1970 y pertenece al álbum de igual nombre. La canción alcanzó el primer puesto en el Billboard Hot 100 y se mantuvo durante seis semanas.
